The Huawei HarmonyOS fully supports the installation of the Binance APP. Although the Binance APP is not listed on the Huawei AppGallery, it can be installed directly via an APK package. The key step is to disable "Pure Mode" first. Visit the Binance official website to download the Binance official APP; for specific steps, please refer to the download and installation tutorial.
Supported Models
This tutorial applies to all Huawei and Honor phones running HarmonyOS:
- Mate Series: Mate 60 Pro, Mate 60, Mate 50 series, etc.
- P Series: P70, P60, P50 series, etc.
- nova Series: nova 12, nova 11, etc.
- Honor Series: Honor Magic6, Honor 100, etc. (Verify if still using HarmonyOS)
- Tablets: MatePad series
Whether your Huawei phone uses a Kirin or Qualcomm chip, you can install the Binance APK.
Step 1: Disable Pure Mode (Crucial)
Huawei's HarmonyOS has "Pure Mode" enabled by default, which blocks the installation of apps not from the Huawei AppGallery. This is the most common issue when installing Binance on Huawei phones.
How to disable it:
- Open "Settings".
- Search for "Pure Mode" or go to: Settings → Security → More Security Settings.
- Find "Pure Mode".
- Click "Exit" or toggle off the switch.
For HarmonyOS 4.0, the path might be: Settings → Security → Pure Mode → Off.
After disabling it, the system will prompt about potential security risks; simply click confirm. You can re-enable Pure Mode after installing Binance.
Step 2: Download the APK
Open the built-in Huawei browser or Chrome, visit the Binance official website download page, and click to download the Android APK.
The file size is about 50MB. Once the download is complete, tap the notification to start the installation.
Step 3: Install the APP
After clicking the APK file, the system may display security prompts:
- If it says "Risky app detected" → Click "Continue installation after understanding risks".
- If it says "Installation blocked" → Pure Mode is not disabled; go back to Step 1.
- If it says "Unknown source" → Click to allow the browser to install apps in settings.
Wait for the installation to finish (approx. 10-30 seconds), and the yellow Binance icon will appear on your home screen.
Step 4: Register and Use
Open the Binance APP and register an account via the Binance official website. Huawei's face recognition can be used for Binance KYC (Identity Verification), supporting identity verification via the front-facing camera.
Huawei-Specific FAQ
Can I re-enable Pure Mode after installation?
Yes. Re-enabling Pure Mode after installing Binance will not affect the installed app. However, you will need to temporarily disable Pure Mode again when updating the Binance APP.
Can I install Binance on HarmonyOS NEXT (Pure HarmonyOS)?
HarmonyOS NEXT is not compatible with Android APKs. If your Huawei phone has upgraded to HarmonyOS NEXT, you currently cannot install the Binance APK. It is recommended to delay the upgrade to HarmonyOS NEXT or use the Binance official website web version for trading.
Will the Binance APP be available on the Huawei AppGallery?
Currently, the Binance APP is not listed on the Huawei AppGallery, and there is no news of it being listed in the near future. Installing via APK is the only way to use Binance on Huawei phones.
Not receiving push notifications after installation?
Huawei's battery optimization is aggressive and may kill background apps. Go to Settings → Apps → Binance → Battery → select "Unrestricted" to ensure Binance can push market notifications normally.
